Provided flowers and maintenance for planters in the Lakeside area


July

Sponsorship of FREE concert in McGraft Park. These concerts, formerly paid for by the city but endangered due to budgetary cuts were taken over by LDA. [Open to the Public]. In conjunction with the free concert, collection of pajamas for Every Woman’s Place.


June

Lakeside Pocket Garden-focusing on Native Michigan genome plants, involving students in creating outdoor sculpture, involving community through volunteer opportunities and creating a community “ownership” public space. This will enhance the area and provide a space of beauty for VISITORS and local residents alike.


May

Student Art Competition to bring awareness to students of the area they inhabit or visit and to provide a creative opportunity to express their feelings about that area. [OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS]

Sponsorship of 2 movies at the Harbor Theater, an area Non Profit.

Sponsored Happy Tails dog Walk with donations going to Pound Buddies, a pet rescue and Pet Pantry, a non profit providing food for pets in need

Kids Create Art Space to provide a creative experience for children as well as an educational one in learning origami

Mini tourist center to provide a central space for brochures and travel info from locations throughout West MI.

Provided a fitness and learning experience with the great Hula Hoop Happening, free to all participants, open to the public with a focus on fitness being fun. Free hooping lessons provided.
